Sudheer Babu’s Maa Nanna Superhero, which was released theatrically in October, will make its OTT debut on Zee5 starting Friday, November 15.

Directed and co-written by Abhilash Reddy Kankara, the story follows Johnny (played by Sudheer Babu) as he embarks on a journey to rescue his adoptive father, played by Sayaji Shinde. This quest leads to an emotional reconnection with his biological father, Prakash (Sai Chand), who, due to various hardships, had to abandon Johnny years ago but now seeks to reunite with him.

Despite the heartfelt premise, reviews pointed out that the script lacked the depth required to convey its emotional weight effectively. The characters and their relationships were described as underdeveloped, affecting the impact of the story’s emotional moments.

The film’s supporting cast includes Aarna, Harsha Vardhan, Chandra Vampathy, and Raju Sundaram, who also choreographed one of the musical sequences. Jay Krish composed the music, and Sunil Balasu handled the production under V Celluloids in collaboration with CAM Entertainment.
