The global phenomenon Stranger Things will return this year and the makers announced the official release date with new posters highlighting some of the important locations in the upcoming season.
Netflix released a steady stream of fresh new Stranger Things 4 posters depicting different places from the next season. Each picture is accompanied by a foreboding text and depicts a character from the series staring away from the camera at one of the locations, which are, of course, bathed in sickly red light.
The caption read as follows: "001. Russia. Getting the band back together. Bring a jacket." "002. The Lab. Every story starts somewhere." "003. Creel House. Tick-tock." and "004. California. Hold onto your butts, brochachos."
In February 2020, a teaser revealed that Jim Hopper, who was presumed dead at the end of season three after helping to close the gate between the real world and the Upside Down, is in fact alive and working on an icy railroad in Russia alongside other prisoners.
The streaming giant also announced that, unlike the show’s previous instalments, season four would be split into two parts. Volume one is set to debut on 27 May and volume two on 1 July. In an open letter to fans, the Duffer brothers explained that this was because of the fourth season’s unprecedented length and would help to get episodes out to viewers as soon as possible.
