Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, India has been on a lockdown for more than 40 days, and flights, trains and road transport has been completely stopped all over the country. Due to this situation, numerous Indians were stranded in foreign countries.
Now, the central government has announced plans to bring back Indians stranded abroad from May 7 in a phased manner. It has been said that Aircrafts and naval ships are arranged for their travel and this service will be provided only on payment basis.
Adding that only Indians who are asymptomatic will be allowed to board the flights/ ships coming home, it has been said that Indian Embassies and High Commissions are making a list of stranded Indian citizens, and that they will also perform a medical screening of the passengers.
