Simbu, who was last seen in Sundar. C's Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, just returned from his spiritual trip to Sabarimala and is apparently all geared up for the shoot of Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu.

Recent pictures of Simbu have surfaced online and the actor looks striking. Regarding Maanaadu, producer Suresh Kamatchi and Simbu have put aside their differences and have agreed to join hands yet again. The movie is expected to go on floors in the third week of January. While Kalyani Priyadarshan has been roped in to play the lead role alongside Simbu, announcements regarding the complete cast and crew are yet to be made. It is also being speculated that the makers have approached Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep to play the antagonist in the movie.

Simbu will be seen next in the Tamil remake of Mufti, where he shares screen space with Gautham Karthik. He will also be playing a cameo role Hansika Motwani’s 50th film, Maha, directed by UR Jameel.
