Carl's Jr. a restaurant chain in the US announced that they would be renaming their Chardbroiled Sliders as "Spielburgers" in honor of the legendary director Steven Spielberg and also to promote his latest release 'Ready Player One'. Warner Bros the studio backing the film did not like the idea and told the chaing "Appreciate the 'Ready Player One' love but this is not approved".
Carl's Jr. not giving up sent a plate of sliders to Spielberg himself and he very politely declined by releasing a video "It has recently come to my attention that Carl’s Jr. wants to rename their charbroiled sliders 'SpielBurgers' and they’re pretty good, but I’m passing," Spielberg said in the self-shot video. "Cease and desist. You can’t do it — sorry, guys.”
Carl's Jr. though disappointed that they cannot name their dish after the most famous film director in the world were happy that he liked their food and have posted " "OMG Spielberg likes our Charbroiled Sliders! (He's not down with SpielBurgers but we're fine with that),"
