Lisa Brennan Claims Steve Jobs Told She Smells Like Toilet in His Deathbed

Readers are drawn into the tempestuous relationship Lisa Brennan-Jobs shared with her father, Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs, in her memoir “Small Fry.” Whether he hurt one or espoused an idea that others espoused, Jobs called a spade a spade.

The two had a turbulent relationship, with its roots in Jobs’ having initially refused to recognize paternity all along until the paternity test in court in 1980. Upon later acceptance, the bond between the two continued to be frigid. Brennan-Jobs muses how the actual feeling was on par with a burden on her father’s career aspirations, which she compares in the same breath with her need to be loved.

And yet, through all of it, Brennan-Jobs had remained devoted—she visited her ailing subject time after time when he was dying of pancreatic cancer. She even hugged him once in 2011.
