The first film of power star Puneeth Rajakumar to face the legal battle! The last Thursday release ‘Anjaniputhra’ faces stay order for further screening as there is objection to a particular scene from the judiciary fraternity.

The particular scene in which Mukesh Tiwari, Ravishanker and co artist in the hospital room – the dialogue of Ravishanker to man in lawyer uniform (Ninna Gante Enidru Court hall alli Alladisu) is disgrace to lawyers fraternityO hearing the complaint on Saturday 40th city civil court put a stay on ‘Anjaniputhra’ till January 2, 2018. The complaint is booked on producer MN Kumar, director Harsha A and Regional Censor board for making such remark by a cop on a lawyer.

A team of advocates Narayanaswamy, Vijayakumar, Vinod Kumar, Nagesh, Naveen Kumar have filed a case on this issue.

Justice Komala after hearing to the argument serviced notices to three persons and passed stay order till January 2, 2018.

Distributor of the film ‘Anjaniputhra’ Jack Manju shocked on this development added that they were yet to receive the court order. The shows will continue until they receive the court order and requested the public to not shy away from watching the movie on the big screen during the Christmas weekend.

Since ‘Anjaniputhra’ is already released court order does not specifically address distributors and theatre owners, they could continue with the screening.

The shows in nearly 400 plus theatres continued on Sunday. Power star Puneeth Rajakumar fans were ready to stage protest on this stay were pacified. Director Harsha A mentioned that there was no intention to harm anyone. It is after censor clearance the film was put on silver screen he mentioned.
