Status of the case against 'Uttama Villain' Release

Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain' is slated for release on May 1st and at this juncture a film company called Thangam Cinemas' has approached the court claiming that Thirupathi Brothers owe them a sum of Rupees Two crores and till the amount is settled the film should not be allowed to release.

When the case came up yesterday the council for Thirupathi Brothers agreed to pay Rupees one crore and the balance after the release of Uttama Villain' and the Judge adjourned the case for the 28th of this month. Since the dispute seems to be heading towards an amicable settlement Uttama Villain' will release as planned on the 1st of May.
