Stars could not say no to 'Maharathi'

One of the most integral personalities of Bollywood's acting department Paresh Rawal directed a Gujarathi play titled as 'Maharathi' several years ago and it is still remembered for its sheer impact by the theatre aficionados.

Paresh always wanted to give his creation a second life in the form of a film and after several years of trying in getting his dream realized, 'Maharathi' the movie will finally have its rendezvous with the big screen on December 5.

The writer of the play Uttam Gada is the architect of the screenplay and dialogues of the film too.

The promos have been released and by what little of the movie is exposed in it, the film lovers can expect an edge of the seat thriller.

And when the cast is filed with exceptional talents like Nasserudin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri and Boman Irani, there is no need to say how captivating the experience is going to be.

The two leading ladies in the movie are Neha Dhupia and Tara Sharma.

The actors attachment to the project can be ascertained from the fact that all of them slashed their fees drastically just because of the power of the stimulating story of 'Maharathi' and all of them did not want to miss the opportunity to be part of a well written movie.

The flick is directed by Shivam Nair and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.
