Last month, the makers of 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' had let it known that Jagapathi Babu is playing a role in the devotional flick. Latest, certain sections of the media have reported that Jaggu will be seen as a Cupid-struck king in the K Raghavendra Rao directorial.

Many years after playing a guest role in 'Ravoyi Chandamama', Jagapathi, Nag's friend of many years, is doing the same. Their association goes back to their teenage days.

The director is once again visiting the idea of a king turning romantic upon seeing a character. It was Mohan Babu in 'Annamayya', in which the chemistry with Roja worked big-time with the class and mass audience alike. It's the turn of Jaggu now. It has to be seen if his character will come with 'tamasic' traits, much as Mohan Babu's character in the 1997 magnum opus.
