It's known that T Subbirami Reddy is going to host a grand event as a tribute to Mohan Babu with the purpose of celebrating Mohan Babu's glorious 40 years in the films. The event is set to be held on Sept 17 in Visakhapatnam. Several political leaders from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, besides film personalities from across India will grace the event. "The program is planned on a massive scale, and a monumental set will be erected soon at the venue", the organizers have said.

Born as Manchu Bhakthavatsalam Naidu, Mohan Babu has been an actor of repute, an educationalist of high esteem, a former Rajya Sabha MP of standing and a respected public personality. A recipient of Padma Shri, he has honorary doctorates to his credit.
