The issue of nepotism towards star kids has raised its head once again in media circles covering Bollywood.

Like in Tollywood, there are many star kids out there in the Hindi film industry who are thought to be beneficiaries of a system that unapologetically practices bias.

Ekta Kapoor says that if a star son or daughter is not talented, the audience will reject him or her. They will then stop getting offers. She has it that nobody promotes a relative in the film industry when there would be none to pay for them.

No matter what, a star kid is better positioned compared to others. He can afford to have a few flops in a row, while those less fortunate with no backing will vanish from the industry if they deliver a few flops.
