Sai Dharam Tej met with a road accident on September 10. He is recovering fast and has been kept in the ICU at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Star director VV Vinayak, who has directed Tej's 'Intelligent' in the past, has said that the Mega hero has been on a diet. "Since he is on a diet and has been somewhat weak, he must have failed to ride the bike due to giddiness," Vinayak, who is known for big-ticket movies like 'Khaidi No. 150', said. While it is true that the 'Solo Brathuke So Better' actor has been on a diet, it has to be seen how many will be willing to buy into Vinayak's theory about giddiness. On the other hand, the Hyderabad police have said that the 'Republic' actor was almost speeding at 70 kmph near the accident spot. While Tej was wearing a helmet, he was being reckless, the police have said.
