Suriya and Jyothika's love story is a cherished chapter in Indian cinema history. Their on-screen chemistry, spanning from Poovellam Kettuppaar to Sillunu Oru Kadhal, has left an indelible mark on audiences. Despite their magical pairing, the duo hasn't shared the screen since their marriage in 2006, leaving fans eagerly awaiting their reunion.
Rumors are rife about a possible collaboration between Suriya and Jyothika in an upcoming film. Speculation suggests that either Anjali Menon, known for Bangalore Days, or Halitha Shameem, of Sillukarupetti fame, could helm this highly anticipated project.
The prospect of the Kaakha Kaakha jodi returning to the silver screen has sparked excitement among fans. Their past collaborations, including Perazhagan and Kaakha Kaakha, have been celebrated for their exceptional performances and captivating storytelling. If the rumors materialize, it will undoubtedly be a treat for fans longing to see them together again.
While fans await confirmation of this exciting project, both Suriya and Jyothika have been busy with their respective projects. Jyothika recently made her Bollywood comeback after 25 years with Shaitaan, where she portrayed Jyoti Rishi opposite Ajay Devgn's Kabir Rishi. Her upcoming film, Srikanth, starring Rajkummar Rao, is set to release on May 10. Meanwhile, Suriya is gearing up for his pan-India project, Kanguva, a period action film slated for release this year.
Kanguva has been generating significant buzz among fans, especially after Suriya's last film, Etharkkum Thunindhavan, received a lukewarm response at the box office. Directed by Shiva and produced by Studio Green, Kanguva marks the Tamil cinema debut of Bobby Deol and Disha Patani. The film also features Yogi Babu and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles, with music by Devi Sri Prasad.
Rumors suggest that Suriya will be seen in six different characters in Kanguva, adding to the film's intrigue. With only two looks revealed so far, fans are eagerly anticipating more details about the film. Described as an alternative period action flick by writer Madan Karky, Kanguva promises to be a unique cinematic experience.
Set to be released in 10 different languages, Kanguva, along with Shankar's Indian 2 and Thalapathy's Greatest of All Time, is among the most anticipated projects in the Tamil film industry.
