Stalwarts of Kannada film industry Dr Vishnuvaradhan, Dr C Ashwath, Chandulal Jain who passed away last year were offered rich tributes at the ‘Shraddanjali’ organized by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday at Gayathri Vihar Palace in Bangalore.

The Karnataka Chief Minister Dr BS Yediyurappa lauded the contribution of Dr Vishnuvaradhan and Dr C Ashwath and said the loss is too heavy for Karnataka. Dr Vishnu was peace loving and friendly in nature. Dr C Ashwath ‘Nada Geethe’ on farmers is unforgettable like his rendering in light music and film said the chief minister.

The Karnataka information minister Katta Subramania Naidu, opposition leader Siddaramaiah, Lok Sabha member Ananthkumar, Actors Ambarish, Dr B Saroja Devi, Dr Jayamala, Dr Leelavathi, Dr Srinath, TS Nagabharana, chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, KCN Chandrasekhar, KSL Swamee, SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Ashok, Jaggesh, committee members of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce also attended.
