DMK president M.K. Stalin warmly welcomed former AIADMK Minister Senthil Balajee’s 30,000-odd supporters into the DMK by stating that he was confident that the newly-joined cadres would stand the DMK in good stead during the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
 
A function was held in Karur yesterday to mark the formal ‘admission’ of 30,425 supporters of Senthil Balajee into the DMK.  Cadres from various other parties numbering more than 10000 also joined the DMK at a huge public meeting addressed by Stalin who expressed happiness at the growing strength of the DMK whose prominent functionaries took part in the meeting.

 
“Nobody can defeat us.  The huge crowd which has gathered here today reassures me that the DMK would never ever face defeat in any future elections.  Irrespective of whatever is my position (be it in Govt. or the party), I shall always be one among the people.  That’s why I have come to meet the people.  I welcome you all to your parent party.  You have come to the DMK expecting motherly love and affection and I assure you that you would surely get it.

 
“I’m happy that they have come back to their origin.  I believe they would add strength to the DMK.  Senthil and his supporters would work hard to make the DMK feel proud of their presence in the party,” Stalin concluded.
