Stalin starts a peaceful fasting protest in Chennai Marina

DMK leader MK Stalin and other MLAs of the party have been forcibly evicted by the marshals from Tamil Nadu Assembly before conducting the Trust Vote in which Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has proved his majority by garnering 122 votes of supporting MLAs.

Stalin's shirt has been torn and he was allegedly taken out from the Assembly staff as the Assembly Speaker ordered for the expulsion of DMK members who refused to vacate the floor.

Straight from the Assembly complex, Stalin accompanied by around nine MLAs of his party met the Governor at Raj Bhavan.

From there he has directly come to Chennai Marina and sat in front of the Gandhi Statue and started a peaceful fasting protest.

Meanwhile DMK members are allegedly involved various forms of protest including road roko. In the busy Teynampet signal a group of DMK members are conducting a Dharna. Shops have been shut in many parts of the state in places such a Villupuram.

It is to be noted that it is the same Marina where the youngsters and students gathered in lakhs and protested peacefully for a week and won the Tamil people's rights to conduct Jallikattu
