Stalin

You don't need us to say that there is no bigger excitement in Andhra Pradesh than when a Chiranjeevi film is about to be released.

Now is that moment of reckoning. Come September 20, the Megastar's radical and revolutionary movie Stalin hits the screen with vigor and vitality. This is going to be one of the biggest releases ever as the film will release with around 400 prints --- one more record for the ever record-breaking Chiranjeevi.

There is already a sense of festivity in the air as there is much hope riding on this film. It is not just because it is a Chiranjeevi movie. But the entire lined up for the film is as talented as they come.

While Chiranjeevi leads the pack, he will get good support from Trisha, the heroine. The lanky actress is playing the lead along with Chiru for the first time ever. Then there is the ever-bankable Prakash Raj. There is also Kushboo, playing a vital part as Chiranjeevi's sister in the movie.

The camera is in the hands of R D Rajasekhar --- he is a hot ticket in Tamil with hits after hits under his belt.

Music by Mani Sharma is another big plus.

Of course, A R Murugadoss, the film's director is also a big factor. Ghajini showed us a glimpse of how innovative his mind is and what novelties can he bring into the script.

So when such a talented and explosive combination comes together, there is bound to be magic in the air.

Stalin in simple terms will be an amazing mixture of fun and ideas. `It will be highly radical and new in terms of delineation,' says the boyish looking director.

The story is not your regular commercial potboiler. There is message and method in it. And Chiranjeevi's character is said to be out of ordinary.

Of course, it will not be nice to give away the story at this point (there are an interesting and an amazing twist in the script)

The film has several facets to it. `There is a strong undercurrent of a social message,' says the director. `Of course there will also be plenty of commercial ingredients'.

One of the important parts of the film is the Kargil war backdrop. The director is understandably reluctant to give the secrets of the film. `It is a vital segment of the story,' he agrees.

As Chiranjeevi said recently `The strong idea that will emerge through the film is that always help the needy.' This is the message that he has been trying to pass.

Chiranjeevi's character is a matter of much speculation. `It will be one of the most powerful ones,' says a unit hand. `It has a dual facet to it,' he adds. He is said to be playing a Major role, a stentorian of sorts. His commitment for the country and its uplift will be a major highlight, say insiders.

Trisha's character will also be very bubbly and full of life.

The chemistry between the two was very infectious during the shoots. In Fact, Chiru helped her a lot during difficult dance steps. They both hit it off very well. The songs have been shot in various locations and will be eye-boggling. The fights will be another big draw. Some of the stunt sequences have been shot with such care and detail that it would be almost impossible to match them.

Kushboo as Chiranjeevi's sister has a vital role to play. Prakash Raj's character will also be of interest.

Murugadoss has brought a high quality of technical gloss and style to the presentation. He has been helped a lot by the splendid Rajasekhar whose camera work is always a delight to watch. He mixes artistic excellence with technical richness.

Mani Sharma's music and songs are already heard in every corner of the State (and elsewhere).
