Nearly a decade after Idiot made Ravi Teja a star overnight and conferred a starry status on its producer-director Puri Jagannadh, its sequel will be made now. Come January, 2012, Idiot2 will go on the sets. Again, it will be Puri's turn to helm the affairs while Ravi Teja will try to do his best to re-live the same energetic role after 10 years.

The film will be produced by BVSN Prasad. Details about the other cast and techinical team are not yet known.

The idea has been mooted by Puri since many years. However, nothing really materialized owing to the busy schedules of the both. Recently, it was rumoured that Puri has no time for the sequel yet as his hands are busy with The Businessman and he will be dabbling in Bollywood too.

However, putting end to all speculation, Idiot2 has finally been announced.
