SS Rajamouli opens up on ‘Dosti’ song

The friendship-themed song from ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’ was out on Sunday. Titled ‘Dosti’ in Telugu, it has turned out to be a massive hit already. With Jr NTR and Ram Charan making a special entry in the video song, the visuals have come to be talked about widely. 

Rajamouli today revealed that the idea behind the song was conceived by SS Karthikeya, his son. “He came up with the idea when I was busy shooting for the climax song of the movie,” the ‘Baahubali director said, adding that it was shot wonderfully in collaboration with Sathish Krishnan and Dinesh Krishnan. 

“I was quite happy with how it turned out but didn’t expect this wonderful response,” the celebrated filmmaker added. 

Rajamouli also thanked the singers (Hema Chandra, Amit Trivedi, Anirudh, Vijay Yesudas and Yazin Nizar) for bringing out the best.

The film is currently being shot in East Europe. Its theatrical release date, as of now, is October 13. With music by MM Keeravani, the film has dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra. Alita Bhatt, Oliva Morris and others are part of the cast.
