It was in 2017 that Vijayendra Prasad spoke for the first time about a script based on the life of RSS chief Guru Golwalkar. It has been six years and nothing has happened on that front. Last year, the 'Baahubali' writer suggested that he became more pro-RSS after he started researching for a film on the history of the organization.
In his latest interview, SS Rajamouli opened up about the project. He indicated that the script for the movie has been in the works. It's an emotionally moving script. Although the 'Magadheera' director doesn't know anything about RSS and its ideology, his father's script moved him to tears.
"I read my father’s script. It is extremely emotional. I cried many times while reading that script, many times. The script’s drama made me cry, but that reaction has got nothing to do with the history part of the story," Rajamouli told New Yorker.
It's not known when this project will be taken up and who will be producing it.
