There have been many speculations about RRR release date, even though every one knew that the film will be postponed from 8th January date for sure. The director never spoke about it in open until he came on the webinar conducted by Film Companion about the film Industry path post lockdown and Covid-19 crisis.

The director said that the team won't rush into things as soon as the Governments lift restrictions. Even though they are itching to finish the film, he doesn't want to put his technicians lives under grave risk by rushing soon.

Hence, he confirmed that the movie will be re-scheduled and the date will only be announced once the team gets a chance to meet and review the situation. Suresh Babu, the famous producer from Telugu Cinema and Nag Ashwin, director of Mahanati, who also participated in the webinar, echoed the same and they said that the highest level caution is needed until the vaccine arrives or a treatment is made feasible.

Well, we have earlier reported that the movie is going for July, 2021 and Rajamouli might be looking at a date even beyond that as the VFX work and shoot work are still pending. VFX work completion also depends on the restrictions being lifted in several other countries, it seems.
