As reported earlier, Srushti Dange will be making her Mollywood debut with the Mohanlal movie '1971: Beyond Borders'. In a recent interview, the actress was asked on why she chose to work in the movie. The dimple beauty immediately replied that the main reason was that being a Mohanlal movie, and also a multilingual.

Earlier Nikki Galrani was considered to play the Srushti's role, but she later opted out due to date issues. In the movie, Srushti is paired opposite Allu Sirish as a Tamil village girl.

Directed by Major Ravi, the movie is set in the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak war. Produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner Red Rose Creations, the shooting of the movie wrapped up recently. 1971: Beyond Borders is expected to hit screens in April for the Vishu season.
