Sankranthi may see just three releases

Come January, scarcity of theaters is forcing some producers to think of pushing the release of their movies by at least a week or two. In this category fall at least two big films which were earlier slated to release on the eve of Sankrathi – Balarkishna's Adhinayakudu and Ravi Teja's Nippu.

Amala Paul on a role

She is an accidental actor. Amala Paul never dreamed of becoming an actress in the first place. Films came to her by accident. When her modelling portfolio was liked by a Malayalam director, Neela Tamara fell in her lap. Even as she acted in some Mollywood films, she bagged films like Vikatakavi, Veerasekaran and Maina in Tamil.

NGO recognizes Journey

Engaeyum Eppothum, releasing as Journey in Telugu, has been recognized by an NGO for its humanitarian message. Saravanan, the film's director has been felicitated by Human Rights Organization for delivering a socially-relevant message through the film. (The movie is releasing in Telugu soon.)

Vidya Balan booked for obscenity

It is an issue which might explode into a controversy. We should not be surprised even if some tv debates are aired around it. This has been triggered by a case slapped on Vidya in mana Hyderabad.

SMS nears completion

Sudhir Babu, Superstar Krishna’s nephew, is acting in a film titled SMS. Don’t jump to conclusions about the genre of the movie. It is no sci-fi film. It is the acronym for Shiva Manasulo Shruthi. The film, being directed by Tatineni Sathya, is produced by Vikram Raju.
