Fans are desperate to witness Ayan Mukerji's star studded sci-fi film 'Brahmastra'. The film has been in development for a few years now and not much has been officially revealed about the project yet. Reports have stated that Shahrukh Khan has an extended cameo appearance in the initial part of the movie. This is just cherry on top for a movie with a star cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjun Akkineni and others.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, there's been a revelation about SRK's character in the film. A source told the outlet, "Shah Rukh Khan plays the role of a scientist who is working towards creating powerful energy from resources around him. He has access to the most treasured weapon of the universe - Brahmastra - which is a major source of his energy. He appears in the first 30 mins of the film, and it's his character that results in the beginning of Brahmastra's journey."

SRK's character ties in with another crucial character of the film played by Mouni Roy as she gets her power from SRK. The source added, "It's not that SRK willingly gives her the power. She steals it from the scientist and then begins the hunt to find Brahmastra, which is hidden somewhere within the earth in three distinct locations."
