A two-minute promotional video film on Bengal that features Shahrukh Khan reported to have won an award at a Japanese film festival's travelogue section held recently.

Sharing the news on social networking site, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that "the first film on "Brand Bengal" made by the state government has won the coveted 2nd Festival Asia TV and Film on 'Journey' organised by the government of Japan".

The video, that has SRK as the brand ambassador of West Bengal, was directed by Bengali filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. "There is something special about Bengal," goes the B-town Badshah in the video.

The short promotional film highlights different aspects of Bengal - from its popular picturesque locales to its rich cultural heritage of Kolkata and Shantiniketan and also showcases the current Bengal at progressive stage and various development initiatives.

As a matter of fact, the idea of promotional video was conceptualised by the Chief Minister.
