Skipper Sharne Warne and his boys suffered a defeat this time in sharp contrast to their splendid show in the last year’s IPL series. The last match between the defending champions Rajastan Royals and Shah Rukh’s Kolkata Knight Riders took off to a nail biting finish in Durban yesterday.

The RRs who took off well in the beginning of the IPL series 2009 then slowed down and finally yesterday lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders team. The RRs lost their pivotal wickets quite early in the match, there by spinning the match against their favor.

Yesterday’s match which was crucial for the Rajastan Royals unfortunately did not turn out in their favor.

Shilpa Shetty who owns the majority of the Rajastan Royals team’s stakes jointly with her boy friend and business magnet Raj Kundra was almost in tears when her team lost. Ms. Shetty who has been a constant supporter of her team was there to cheer her team for all the matches played by the Rajastan Royals.

Laxmi Ratan Shukla whose innings turned out to be in favor of Kolkata Knight Riders was titled the man of the match. Shah Rukh the owner of the KKRs must have been celebrating!

While one on side it must have been celebrations for King Khan, Shilpa Shetty must have had a tough time consoling herself.
