SRK on 'Happy New Year': It is as happy as the title

The much awaited Farah Khan's big screen multi-starrer extravaganza Happy New Year' that got launched recently, has already got a huge response. The film promises to be a rollicking, flamboyant, colourful, witty, action-packed musical bonanza.

Talking at the trailer launch, director Farah Khan said, "This film has all that it takes to make a Bollywood quintessential film but the most important element here is HOPE. It is hope that turns into BELIEF for anyone who works hard in life to achieve their goals. Even if you lose don't let that bring you down and think it is the end."

The trailer introduces six losers - Shah Rukh Khan as Charlie, Deepika Padukone as Mohini, Abhishek Bachchan as Nandu, Boman Irani as Tammy', Sonu Sood as Jag and Vivaan Shah as Rohan - who are set out to win an international dance competition however end up planning a big robbery.

Going philosophical, SRK on the occasion stated, "It is not necessary that if you do not win even after repeatedly trying, that you are a loser. This is what Happy New Year is all about. This film is a celebration and most importantly it is as happy as the title is."

While Venky Mysore, CEO, Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, claims "HNY to be a tribute to "INDIAWAALE" and a celebration of who we are."

HNY is produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd and distributed by Yash Raj Films worldwide. The film will release this Diwali in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
