A lot of drama has been taking shape at various locations around the country right from the day 'Slumdog Millionaire' bagged the Golden Globes. When some said they were proud to showcase Indian talent in the international arena, many did not reflect the same feeling.
There is always two sides to a coin.
One person to have always backed the film right from the word 'go' was SRK. King Khan was there at the Golden Globes along with the 'Slumdog' team supporting the film and reveling in its success. Now the badhshah of Bollywood is back again defending the film from the critics. Replying to charges by a lot of people saying that the film has shown India in bad light, he has reportedly asked why it takes an outsider to make films like 'Gandhi' and 'Slumdog Millionaire'. The actor feels that the film has a lot of visual appeal to India.
According to the director of the film Danny Boyle, 'Slumdog Millionaire' has tried to project Mumbai city's lust for life.
The 'Slumdog Millionaire' has bagged four Golden Globes with the best music score for A.R. Rahman, and seven BAFTA awards again with the music maestro from India bagging a BAFTA for the best music. Now all that remains is the Oscars which will be taking place on February 22 at Los Angeles.
We wish the 'Slumdog' team a good sweep of Oscars at Los Angeles.
