The Bollywood movie 'Pathaan' is going to hit the screens on January 25 next year. It will be a Hindi-Telugu-Tamil release.
The other day, a song titled 'Besharam Rang' was released. The item song has Deepika Padukone putting her dance moves on display. She is seen donning a saffron dress, while Shah Rukh Khan is seen wearing a green colour dress. The same has been seen as motivated and perverted by some.
"The song is based on a toxic mentality. The lyrics of the song, the saffron and green clothes worn in the song need to be corrected or else we will take a decision on whether to let the film's screening happen in Madhya Pradesh or not," the Home Minister Narottam Mishra today said.
Colour saffron is associated with Hinduism. Netizens are saying that the words 'Besharam rang' can't be used, as it tantamounts to hurting religious sentiments.
Many have complained that the song tries to create a subconscious mindset of self-degradation.
