Producer Dil Raju has on Thursday confirmed, once again, that 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' (starring Nithiin, Raashi Khanna, Nandita Raj and Prakash Raj) will hit the screens on August 9.  This is the date on which 'Bommarillu' had released in the year 2006.

"It was on the same date 12 years ago that our landmark movie 'Bommarillu' had come.  Incidentally, it's also Mahesh Babu garu's birthday.  We are happy that 'SK' is releasing on the superstar's birthday at a time when he is doing a film under our banner.  Even when we started the film's shooting, it was planned to be released on Aug 9," Dil Raju said.

"With the shooting of a romantic song in rain, the entire filming is over.  We have seen many songs and films that highlight the importance of marriage.  What's so new about our movie?  You will have to watch it on the silver screen to know the answer," he noted.

Dil Raju said that certain incidents from his life have been infused into the story.  Saying that 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' is a very relatable movie that every family can enjoy, the ace producer added that the film has got nice music (by Mickey J Meyer).  "Since 'Bommarillu' was a nice movie, the audience made it a great one.  'Shatamanam Bhavati' was released amid big films and yet the audience made it a big hit," Raju commented.

He expressed confidence in the film's capacity to inspire elders to draw wedding-related lessons from the movie.  "Those girls and boys waiting to get married will want have the kind of marriage we have shown in the movie.  This is so good, much like 'Bommarillu' and 'Shatamanam Bhavati'," Raju said.

He said that 'Mahanati' was released by Ashwini Dutt on the same date as 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' was released.  "It created magic.  I hope the same magic will happen in the case of 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' as well," Raju said.
