'Srinivasa Kalyanam' audio release event held

The audio release function of 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' was held on Sunday. The event was graced by the film's cast and crew.

Speaking on the occasion, Nithiin said, At a time when I have been bothered by my elders to get married, Sathish Vegesna garu came to me with a script. I connected with it instantly. His scenes are so very beautiful. I felt like marrying instantly. But once I started shooting for the movie, I was scared of marriage, looking at all the elaborate rituals, poojas, etc.

I then decided not to ever marry again! Of course, mom, I am joking. I will marry for sure. 'SK' will always be a beautiful memory in my life. So many have acted in the movie that this dais won't suffice if they all come onto the stage. I had to act with about 70 members.

Mickey J Meyer has given an excellent output even though he doesn't know of Telugu traditions. The 29-year-old Sri Mani has penned a superb song on marriage. Perhaps, no other artist knows about Dil Raju garu more than me. I was the hero of his debut movie, 'Dil'. He is so involved as a producer. We had always wanted to work together, again. But we couldn't. Finally, 'SK' happened.

There was a time when people around him would think that he was going overboard with his involvement. But now, they realize that it shows his love towards cinema. That's why he continues to make good films. I feel fortunate that Vegesna garu has chosen me as the film's hero. His dialogues for the climax scene made me so happy. This film will be one among the top 3 in my career.

Dil Raju said, After 'Shatamanam Bhavati', Vegesna narrated this story to me last February. A few days later, 'Nenu Local' hit the screens. I went to Tirumala for a darshan of the Lord. As I was standing in the queue, some ideas about this script came to me.

As soon as I came out of the temple, I called up the director and told him my thoughts. That's how the script of 'SK' started being developed in God's abode. Three of the incidents shown in the film have happened in my life: my daughter's marriage, the birth of my grandson, and the death of my wife. It's these ideas that I had shared with Vegesna.

This film is about the moments that happen in every life. The audience will find themselves in one or the other character in the movie. Mickey's background score is brilliant. We roped in Raashi Khanna after watching her performance in 'Tholi Prema'. When Nithiin was delivering flops in a row, he came to me and asked me to make a film with him. But I couldn't do any. Perhaps it's because he was destined to do this movie.

Sathish Vegesna said, This film talks about the greatness of marriage. I fell in love with the idea of Srinivasa Kalyanam while shooting a song for 'Shatamanam Bhavati'. I wanted to make a film on the theme of marriage. When I told the film's title to Sirish (co-producer), he too liked it. That's how it all started. Quite a few films have been made on marriage.

In every Yugam, whenever God has taken the form of a human being, he has iterated the pre-eminence of marriage. Many had doubts as to whether Nithiin can mouth (heavy) lines about marriage. He did a 5-minute-long climax scene in a single shot. The entire unit cheered him in the end.

Raashi Khanna said, This film is close to my heart. I got emotional on listening to the story. I am a family person. I thank my parents for their upbringing. When I told the film's story to my mother, she had tears in her eyes. The story of 'SK' is that powerful. I always respect Dil Raju garu. After this movie, my respect for him has only increased. Nithiin is a lovely human being. I want to work with him again and again.

Mickey J Meyer said, There is a sense of fear while working with Dil Raju sir. But with this film, I worked rather comfortably. The director is a calm-going and talented man. If the songs have come out well, it's because of the script. I am happy to have worked with Nithiin once again after 'A Aa'.

Prakash Raj said, Sri Venkateswara Creations always gives value-based cinema without any calculations in mind. That's why I respect Dil Raju. He is always ready to invest any amount to create the right environment. In the case of both 'Shatamanam Bhavati' and 'SK', Dil Raju revealed that I am doing a role much after narrating the story. 'SK' is not a documentary on marriage.

It's an experience as far as I am concerned. At a time when we see a wedding as an event, this film highlights the sentimental aspects of it. It was in 'Dil' that I was first seen opposite Nithiin. And 'SK' is my second film with him, coming after about 15 years.

Rajendra Prasad said, I have done about 250 films in the past 41 years. I never attended a filmy function with family members. If I have done it today, you can imagine how much impact this film has had on me. After making the National Award-winning 'Shatamanam Bhavati', Sathish Vegesna has once again made a wonderful film. Having acted in a film like 'Pelli Pushtakam' and having married off my children, I must confess that this film has wowed me by revealing unknown aspects of a wedding ceremony.

Jayasudha said, 'Bommarillu' was my first film under the SVC banner. As of July 21, I completed 46 years of being in the film industry. Same goes with Naresh, with whom I did 'Pandanti Kapuram'. My journey has seen several phases.

Naresh said, Even though 'Shatamanam Bhavati' was released amid big entertainers last year, it became a big hit. The SVC banner has since had six hits. 'SK' is five shades better than 'SB'. The film is releasing on the same date on which 'Bommarillu' had hit the screens (August 9).

The film will hit the screens on August 9.
