The Srilankan cricket board has approved the team to travel to Pakistan for a short tour. This comes eight years after the terror attack against the team in which many Sri Lankan players were injured. A thorough security assessment to be conducted and would require Government approval before the team departs as mentioned by Cricket chief Thilanga.
With three t20 games coming up against Pakistan this September the Srilankan Board is looking to play at least one match in Lahore. Currently various security agencies from Srilanka are in Pakistan to assess the situation.
