Vennela Kishore plays the titular role in the upcoming Telugu film titled Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes. The makers launched the teaser of the film today. Writer Mohan is the director and the film is a crime thriller infused with subtle humour.

The teaser that was released today reveals us that it is set in the early 1990s. The film opens with news report about the assassination of former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Vennela Kishore is then introduced as a detective and he goes on to challenge criminal cases in Srikakulam.

The director tried to attempt a Sherlock Holmes style of narrative with Vennela Kishore and the situations that he lands in. Ananya Nagalla and Siya Gautham are the leading ladies of the film who are the right fit for the characters. Technically, the teaser looks solid.

Vennapusa Ramana Reddy produces the film under Sri Ganapathi Cinemas. Mallikarjun Naragani is the cinematographer and Sunil Kashyap is the music director.

The film is scheduled for a release during Christmas by Vamsi Nandipati.
