Kamal Haasan and Sridevi were a rocking onscreen pair. In unforgettable films like 'Akali Rajyam', they shared the kind of chemistry only actors of a high class can. They did more than two dozen movies together and were a hit pair of a different standing.

However, in real life, Kamal and Sridevi saw themselves as siblings. This has been revealed by the Universal Star himself. In an article for a Tamil magazine, the 'Vishwaroopam-2' actor has written that he always regarded Sridevi as his "younger sister".

"Those days, couples at weddings were compared to us, saying they looked like Kamal and Sridevi. They must have seen us singing duets and hugging. We hid the truth about the nature of the relationship so as to not shatter that dream," Kamal has been quoted by a news agency as saying.

"Have witnessed Sridevi's life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificeint lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved. Many happy moments with her flash through my mind including the last time I met her. Sadma's lullaby haunts me now. We'll miss her," he recently said.
