In the trailer for 'Sridevi Shoban Babu', Santosh Shoban (of 'Ek Mini Katha' fame) plays a frivolous town boy who doesn't keep his tongue under control. The female lead, played by Gouri G Kishan, is unrestrained when it comes to dealing with mischief-mongers. The two fall in love, inviting troubles from both likely and unlikely quarters.
The trailer of the film doesn't give away much as far as the source of the conflict goes. Writer-director Prasanth Kumar Dimmala seems to have narrated an earnest tale that doesn't bother about gimmicks and frills. Rohini seems to have got a vocal role, while Naga Babu has a subtle one.
Producers Vishnu Prasad and Sushmita Konidela are confident about the film's theatrical success. Kamran has composed the music, while cinematographer Siddarth Ramaswamy has ensured minimalistic visuals. Made on a controlled budget, 'Sridevi Shoban Babu' shows promise with its commercial premise and emotional turns.
The trailer, which is wooing sections of the Telugu movie-goers, was released during the pre-release event of 'Acharya' on Saturday.
