Sridevi might have been murdered: Former DGP

More than a year after the death of the legendary Sridevi, former Kerala Jail DGP Rishiraj Singh has written in a media column that his friend, a forensic expert, believed that Sridevi's death was not due to accidental drowning, but was, in fact, a murder. The delay in expatriating her body from UAE fuelled several conspiracy theories at that time as well.
The DGP's article in the column read, "My friend told me that the death might have been a murder. When I asked him out of curiosity over the death, Dr. Umadathan pointed out several pieces of circumstantial evidence to prove that the actress' death was not accidental."
It further said, "According to Dr. Umadathan, ‘Even if she drank too much, she would not drown in one-foot deep water in a bathtub'. Without being pushed by somebody, a person's legs or head could not drown in one-foot water in the bathtub."
Slamming the DGP's claims, Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor stated, "I don't want to react to such stupid stories. There is no need to react because such stupid stories keep coming. Basically, this is somebody’s figment of imagination."
The suspicions are nothing new.
