It's known that Zee Studios International and Namah Pictures have released legendary actress Sridevi's last film 'MOM' posthumously in China. The news is that the crime thriller drama has mopped up Rs 11.47 Cr on Day 1 in China. This is a high-grossing film to come from Bollywood, beating 'Andhadhun'. This is the fourth best opener.
The movie is playing in about 38,500 screens across the country. Given the scale of release, 'MOM' needs to perform better over the weekend.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar, it has Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a detective. Music is by AR Rahman. Our own Kona Venkat co-wrote it.
