In the press meet being held now, Shibu Tameens, one of the producers of Ilayathalabathi` Vijau`s upcoming mega budget fantasy entertainer Puli` revealed what made veteran actress Sridevi to accept the offer to star in it.

While addressing a large group of media persons gathered at the venue. Shibu Thameens said "Sridevi mam had rejected a role offered in a super hit Telugu movie that is still running successfully. But she accepted the Puli` offer as she was mightily impressed by the story narrated by the director Chimbudevan. Her immediate reaction after listening to the story was What a story!!! I will definitely do this project`".

Sridevi has played the role of queen in Puli` and this is her comeback film in Kollywood the industry which she ruled as a top most heroine from late 1970s to mid 1980s.

No prizes for guessing the Telugu film and the role rejected by Sridevi that Shibu was referring to.
