Indian actress Sri Reddy has recently released a video that has been going viral. In the video, she makes a brief performance on a song from Santhanam's upcoming movie A1 (Accused No. 1).

The original scene from the video involves the character of the female lead - a Brahmin girl - to eat a half-boiled egg to prove her love for Santhanam's character in the movie. The teaser was met with criticism from the audience, especially the media who thought it was in bad taste. Santhanam, in a recent press meet for the movie, stated that humour had to be taken the way it is meant to be taken and that unless it really hurt people's sentiments, there is no need for him to apologize for the same. He added that it was a cheap publicity stunt by the media.

A1 is directed by "Nalaiya Iyakkunar" Johnson and produced by S. Raj Narayanan. The film, that stars Santhanam and Tara Alisha Berry in the lead roles, has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
