The shooting of 'Sri Mahalakshmi' directed by Vijayan and produced by Smt R Santi Srihari on the banner of Sri Chalana Chitra with Real Star Srihari in the lead, Smt Suhasini, Shamna, Aiswarya and Rajita in lead roles, had completed its shooting recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Srihari says, 'We chose a Malayalam super hit film 'Chintamani Cola Case' and made certain changes to suit the Telugu nativity. We too wish that the film would be a big hit in Telugu also. The role would be a different character in my career. Generally, all my films will always have action. But this film has a lot of good sentiment. I am doing the role of an advocate who always fought in favour of women. Vijayan, who is basically a fight master, turned a director. He moulded the film on the screen excellently like how good he choreographs the action scenes. After producing 'Hanumanthu' on our banner, we are again producing this film. We are planning to release the film on May 22.'
