Sri Lanka Cricket has suspended Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Mendis and Danushka Gunathilaka after the three of them were caught on a video roaming on the streets of England's Durham while smoking cigarettes, apparently breaching the code of conduct.

The Sri Lankan team is currently in England for a limited-overs tour consisting of three T20Is and ODIs. Niroshan Dickwella and Kusal Mendis are both part of the Sri Lankan squad and also featured in the recently concluded T20I series. The duo, along with Danushka Gunathilaka, were spotted roaming the streets of Durham after the final T20 international on Sunday night. While one of the videos shows Dickwella and Mendis holding a cigarette, a second video shows Danushka Gunathilaka joining them.

Sri Lanka Cricket secretary Mohan De Silva reportedly said in a statement, "Sri Lanka Cricket executive Committee has suspended Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka & Niroshan Dickwella for breaching the bio- bubble and they will be immediately recalled to Sri Lanka."
