Director Dayal Padmanabhan known for high sounding words of his films the boaster man to boost his films once again lives below the expectations he built up. The hallucination part of this movie is what is very interesting. The film `Sriharikathe' is good only in parts. Dayal Padmanabhan had not seen the earlier Kannada films or not made an attempt to know whether such and such stories have been already tried out. What we have seen in Ananthnag films in the past is repeated here. Versatile actor Ananthnag has appeared in a series of husband and wife tiff films with various heroines. The rejoining of the protagonist with his wife is similar to so many Kannada film climax.

Simple living high thinking Srihari (Srimurali) is a business tycoon. He falls in love with Prakruthi (Radhika Gandhi) and it is good reciprocation of love. Prakruthi is not for marriage so early in life. She wants to submit her thesis on Vedic sciences to a Singapore University. Due to utmost affections showered on her she marries Srihari but she puts a condition on the first night. She wants to remain individual for six more months and she explains her thoughts. Srihari agrees to this condition. When Prakruthi defers her married life for three months Srihari gets wild. As expected he goes looking for another woman that turns out to be a very costly mistake for Srihari.

The entire tragedy after Prakruthi leaves for Singapore in the life of Srihari is hallucination says the director. In the climax Prakruthi feels unhappy for the connections of her husband and she declines to accept him. Srihari signs the divorce papers and transfers all his property to Prakruthi and prefer to settle down in USA. But this is Indian cinema and sentiment plays vital roles. The parents of Prakruthi, mentor in Vedic Science advice her to join Srihari. That is what happens in the end.

Srimurali is not convincing in this role. The role deserved some natural performance but he fails to emote. The role is against to the image of Srimurali. Time and again he is making mistakes by accepting this kind of role. Radhika Gandhi has to improve tremendously. Pooja Gandhi gives a lively performance in her presence is short in the film. It is Naveen Krishna who steals the show for his dialogues and timing.

There are two lovely songs from newcomer Sameer Kulkarni. Sari Sari Viraha Nee Doora Sari..is well tuned and captured in the camera. Rakesh making debut in cinematography is very promising. Dialogue writer Prasanna has written words that are rhythmic.

 Scoring 6/10
