Director Sreenu Vaitla, whose last box-office clear hit 'Dookudu' hit the screens in 2011, may be facing a crisis in his personal life. If reports in the media are anything to go by, his wife Roopa recently filed for divorce from him.
Roopa, who has been a costume designer, is reportedly unhappy in the marriage. There is a report claiming that the husband and wife have been living separately for quite a while. Separation is followed by divorce in a lot of cases.
The marriage of the 'Bruce Lee' and 'Baadshah' director falling on the rocks has come as a worrying piece of news for those who love his early comedy entertainers like 'Venky'.
By now, he should have made 'D&D' with Manchu Vishnu as the hero. "Vaitla garu is still working on the script of 'D&D'. He is working with a vengeance. I had been asking him to make a film with me since the release of 'Dhee'," Vishnu said in an interview in March last year. More than a year later, this project has been a non-starter.
It has been almost a day since the rumour about the divorce went out. Vaitla hasn't condemned them. This suffices to conclude that the news is true.
