Mythri Movie Makers is learned to have made 'Amar Akbar Anthony' in a planned way. To begin with, Sreenu Vaitla struck a package deal with the production house for Rs. 23 Cr. And he completed the production works as per the planned deal. Some of the comedy scenes in the movie were shot at Hyderabad's Park Hyatt hotel. So, not the entire movie was canned in the US.
With satellite rights and the dubbing rights (Hindi version) fetching very good amounts, the producers were have successfully recovered the investment.
And since the producers were in a profitable position even before the film's release, they decided to sell 'AAA' to those distributors who lost monies on 'Savyasachi'. A revenue-sharing model was followed to help the distributors.
