Mohanlal has earlier acted in a number of films written by Sreenivasan.

The films in the early eighties from Sanmanasulavarkku Samadanam to the recent Udayananu Tharam have showcased Mohanlal’s varied talents as an actor and have helped to build and maintain his stardom in various points of his career. Sreenivasan has also acted in almost all of these films with Lal which has made them the favorite pair of all times.

But when Sreenivasan started directing films, none of his films featured Lal.

Grapewine suggests that Sreenivasan is planning to direct a movie with Lal in the lead. Sreenivasan will himself pen the script for the film. It has not been confirmed whether Sreenivasan will act in this movie. Sreenivasan has earlier made it clear to press that he shall no longer act in the films directed by him.
