Sreeni camping with Mammootty

Long ago, there was a time in Malayalam cinema when the films starring Mohanlal with Sreenivasan were rated as the definite crowd pullers. The duo gave lots of hits, presenting themselves as the next door persons, simple in outlook and thinking like a common man. Films like Naadodikkattu, Pattanaprevesham, Sanmanassullavarkku Samaadhaanam, Varavelppu are some from the duo, which are rated by Malayalees as their evertime favorites.
But of late, this multifaceted actor, scriptwriter and director Sreeni, changed his camp and is appearing with Mammootty in a row of films. The recent superhit BalramVs Tharadas saw Sreeni, as a petty journalist, with Mammootty. The next to come is 'Prajapathy' where Sreeni is playing a full length antihero with Mammootty. The Mammootty film slated for Onam 'Bhargavacharitham Moonnamghattam', also presents Sreeni in another full length character with the superstar. This film is also scripted by Sreenivaasan. Mammootty had earlier acted in few films like 'Mazhayetthum Munpe' and 'Oru MaravathoorKanavu', scripted by Sreenivasan.
