On the back of the Maha Shiva Ratri holiday, 'Sreekaram' took to healthy openings at the box-office on Thursday. In the Telugu States, the Sharwanand-starrer earned a share of Rs 4.01 Cr.

The film, directed by Kishor B, made a share of Rs 1.10 Cr in Nizam. In Ceded the film made Rs 75 lakh, Nellore gave Rs 14 lakh, Krishna gave Rs 25 lakh, Guntur gave Rs 65 lakh, Vizag gave Rs 54 lakh, East Godavari gave Rs 30 lakh, while West Godavari gave another Rs 28 lakh.

Starring Priyanka Arul Mohan as the heroine, the film has music by Mickey J Meyer, whose agriculture-friendly music is a big asset. Rao Ramesh, Sai Kumar, VK Naresh and Murali Sharma are part of the cast.

The film's cinematography by J Yuvaraj has also come in for much praise from critics and audiences. The climax speech, modelled on the TEDx Talks, has been a talked-about feature.
