‘SR Kalyanamandapam’ Trailer: Father-son sentiment is a strong theme

The trailer for ‘SR Kalyanamandapam’ positions the romantic action drama as a semi-family entertainer where a son and his father share a tempestuous relationship. Sai Kumar plays the father, who is upset that his son is not on talking terms with him. The son, played by the male lead Kiran Abbavaram, has fallen out of him for some reason.

With Priyanka Jawalkar as the heroine (who gets a fair share of say in the trailer), the film has Tulasi as the hero’s mother. Also featuring Srikanth Iyengar, Tanikella Bharani (as the hero’s college principal), Arun, Anil, Bharat, and Kittayya, the Sridhar Gade directorial is set in Rayalaseema. The male lead has written the film’s story, dialogues, and screenplay, something he seems to have used to elevate his character at regular intervals of the film.

With cinematography by Viswas Daniel, ‘SRK’ will hit the screens on August 6. Chaitan Bharadwaj has set the songs to tune. Bhaskarabhatla and Krishna Kanth have penned the lyrics. Produced by Pramod and Raju, the film has the production design by Sudheer Macharla.
