Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
WhatsApp users have been requested by the app company to update their app to the latest version to avoid attack by a particular spyware. An Israeli cyber intelligence company has reportedly developed the spyware, which is injected into your WhatsApp through a call. Whether or not you answer the call, the spyware gets injected in no time, exposing your device to risk. Even the record of the call will get automatically erased.
So, to save your WhatsApp from the vulnerability, it's requested that the users update the app.
"WhatsApp has confirmed that its voice calls feature had been used to inject Israeli spyware into Apple and Android phones. The company behind this malicious attack is NSO, based in Israel. The same company used to spy on prominent Arab activists," says Areeb Ullah, a Middle East journalist. He further writes that NSO is known for the creation of "the infamous Pegasus software that can turn on a phone's mic and camera and trawl through an individual's email and location services".
